# How to revert "always steal" selection?

I killed a number of bandits and accidentally selected to always steal when a prompt appeared whether I should “steal” their items. However, I want the prompt, as it’s not always clear whether stuff is owned by factions or not. How do I clear the selection now the prompt doesn’t appear?

Press ESC and 1. Find the “Toggle thief mode”, and give it a button, than you can be a thief whenever you want.
