# How to keep food cold?

There are a lot of drinks in the game that give more joy when cold. However I cannot figure out how to keep them cold when it’s not winter. The minifridge doesn’t seem to do it. Is there any other way?

Does the minifridge have power? Is it turned on?

It was turned on while attached to a car that had about 1/2 full batteries, so I assume the answer is yes. Left for about 2/3 of a day. Batteries still had charge at the end of the day, so it didn’t run out. Does it take longer than that to cool?

It used to be nearly instant. Perhaps the recent change to freezing mechanics made it so that it takes longer to become (cold)

Just updated to latest experimental, and drinks are now instantly cold once mini-fridge is turned on.

Yeah probably was a bug then. There’s been a lot of work on the growing pains lately.
