# How to add crouching mechanics to stable 0.D version

Due to some reasons I could only run 0.D on my PC but I want to have the crouch mechanics. How do I do it?!

Add crouching code ([https://github.com/CleverRaven/Cataclysm-DDA/pull/29092](https://github.com/CleverRaven/Cataclysm-DDA/pull/29092)) to 0.D branch ([https://github.com/CleverRaven/Cataclysm-DDA/tree/0.D-branch](https://github.com/CleverRaven/Cataclysm-DDA/tree/0.D-branch)) and compile it ([https://github.com/CleverRaven/Cataclysm-DDA/blob/8e5a5443a476ef13fc10d4dab0c2aad24c062be7/doc/COMPILING/COMPILING.md](https://github.com/CleverRaven/Cataclysm-DDA/blob/8e5a5443a476ef13fc10d4dab0c2aad24c062be7/doc/COMPILING/COMPILING.md)). There were probably other changes related to crouching besides initial implementation, so you could end up in need to find and add more code.

Maybe a better solution would be figuring out and fixing what is preventing you from running something more recent on your computer.

What happens when you try to run 0.E-3 on your computer?
