# How many diseases do you get?

Because thats my fourth one in this season (91 days)… am i missing some significant source of health decrease? I dont do drugs or junk food.

Do you have a leaky bionic? If you want to double check your health value to see if that is what is causing it then turn on debug messages (IIRC by default it’s bound to “~”) and wait for a few hours. Eventually you should get a message when it updates it that lets you see what your health is (heads up, NPC’s might display messages as well). If it’s really low then there is something you missed, if it isn’t then you just got really unlucky.

Day 60.

No bionics. Will do that, thanks. No NPC at my base.

I am out of cough syrup, so now i lie in my bed upstairs in the motel, next to meat jerky and bunch of waterskins, generally being miserable.

4 diseases within 60 days is fairly normal codewise afaik. So your not low on health.

Oh. Thats… well, if 60 days is a year its only a bit a lot. I guess thats the downside to realism of 91 day seasons.

On a related note, i noticed a whole lot of checks (increase of some large number) when in debug mode on food (including non perishables). Might it be source of the lag? Time to store food in the second floor of the basement where its only checked when you go down to get a snack?

Is health -169 and health mod -150 good? :d

I have no idea what caused this. I mostly eat cooked meat and fish.

I drank quite a bit of unpurified water at the beginning, but that was 60 days ago. (checked and one drink lowers it by ten or so)

I got a few infected wounds recently.

Edit/ Oh, and the next check was health -170 and health mod -150. Weird, shouldnt it be rising?

unless i got it backwards -150 is bad as the highest you can get is 200.

Yeah, i am basically oozing disease now. I got fast healer, so i didnt notice health issues relating to hit points. Time to seriously dip into my vitamin stocks…

Is there a list of unhealthy things out there somewhere?

You either have a leaky bionic or have few really serious addictions going on.  
There’s no way to get this low without leaky, addictions or actively trying to get it as low as possible.

First remove leaky. You’d need more than 1 vitamin per hour to counter leaky’s effects.

Alternatively you might have a parasite infection, those can drain your health somewhat.

As i wrote above, i have no bionics at all. I started as a tweaker, but this was 60 days ago and did not do drugs since then.

In the first ten days or so i drank a lot of unpurified water, but thats not it, because the health mod should normalize in 60 days. Few days ago i fought a lot and got 4 or 5 infected wounds. Nothing else i could think of would lower my health mod that low, unless cooked meat is unhealthy food now.

Parasites give spasm messages. I have none.

Anyway, its day 90 and i only got a common cold past 30 days. Also, learned that i can pick shrubs, so now i am only drinking herbal tea and not simple water.
