# How does the critical hit roll works?

Could not find anything on the wiki or in the forum, is there an exhaustive list of all the things that affects the chances of a critical hit?

Weapon skill, weapon accuracy, distance to target (for ranged weapons), and target dodge are the only things that affect the chances of scoring a critical hit.

Thank you, does the above include the ‘Melee skill’ or just the specific weapon skills? and what about weapons that have more than one type of damage (like cut + bash)?
A bit strange Dexterity doesn’t do anything for crit chances…

You’re both right - Dex and Per also affect crit chance, and it’s both your melee skill and the weapon’s skill (which is set by crafting category, not damage type).
