For example, a furniture occupies a grid. But how do I know what kind of ground it is on?
I know a furniture is usually on a floor, but there’re various kinds of terrains in game, so is there a less hacking way?

Right now furniture doesn’t exist on top of a type of floor, it outright replaces it.

For now the only really pseudoreliable way to figure out what existing furniture is on is by checking the floor tiles around it.
