# How do I deal with hot places?

I was going through a mine when I found a lava rift blocking the way between me and the way further down. I decided to tunnel my way around with a jackhammer, but in case I’m ever dumb enough to trap myself  
in a burning building, is there any way to resist very high temperatures without heavy penalties to speed and stats?

There’s a CBM for that. Maybe an artifact? Clothes don’t help, since they don’t do insulation yet.

Always carry a pickaxe. That way you can be buried in the rubble of a burning building.
