The problem’s two-fold: Flaming Eyes are perfectly capable of attacking on the first turn after getting into reality bubble, through everything in the path, and are capable of damaging very internal car parts - plus gas tanks explode like mini-nukes even when they’re almost full (IRL gasoline vapors explode, liquid doesn’t).

So my most successful run so far, First day of autumn, looking for Universal power CBM so I can start using power armor. I just found a Power Armor Hauling frame in a black widow spider basement, things are going well.
So I spot a shocker brute and a regular shocker to the south, excellent I think, more potential cbm’s. except there’s blobs there too, and it looks like the blobs ate the shocker zombies. 1000 blob kills later I can’t find their corpses at all. ok I think, lets make superglue until there’s no blob corpses left, this is going to take a while. craft my first 20 superglue inside my Survivormobile, noise to the east outside, probably more blobs,… I’ll clear them out in no time.
Those laser dots don’t seem very friendly…
That first explosion must have stunned us cause 14 turns or explosions later while I can’t move or anything…
So yeah, I’m guessing it was something I have not encountered yet, either a tankbot, or a chicken walker. Just cause you have combat skills above level 10 doesn’t mean you’re invincible.
So yeah I was feeling invincible cause the blob fight had me fighting quick successive attacks without reading the combat results at all, felling like nothing could hurt me. I would have had a chance maybe of surviving that initial explosion, as there was a turn or 3 between being targeted by the lasers and me not noticing and taking a step forward, I could have possibly taken a step back closed the car door, and then jump in the drivers seat and slam reverse. well I’m dead no so it’s just speculation. Should I restart in the same game world and seek revenge?

I kinda wish enviromental protection helped you against spitters but perhaphs give you a debuff of covered in acid damaging all of your equipment… but make it easyish to doge

I spawned in an evac shelter that was near a medium sized town. Started as a tailor; I made myself a backpack, makeshift knife, makeshift crowbar, and reinforced my clothes from the sheets from smashing the windows as well as metal from the lockers. I proceeded to go take a look around town on my first day and looted some homes and buildings, and I even managed to acquire quite a few books and food. I killed zeds on my way but most of the time I was trying to run away from them as they kept chasing me. Unfortunately, though the town may have some decent buildings to loot, it was also a horde infested town so it kept me from going further in town. Also not to mention that the occasional zombie brute and shocker zombie was blocking my way.
I then proceeded to camp at one of the houses at the outskirts of town that I cleared. On my second day I then traveled on the road that went directly east. On the way there I encountered dead drug dealers and soldiers; I managed to get stimulant drugs, first aid kits, military grade gear, MOLLE pack, military ID cards, a baseball bat (makes a decent weapon from my makeshift crowbar), and some other stuff. I stopped traveling on the road since there was a ton of zombies (probably another horde) that came from the north and the road led to another town, greeted when you first enter it a zombie brute.
So I went back to the other town that I started near at and decided to stay for a night. I stayed at a house that was across the house I previously stayed before. The next day when I woke up I was greeted by a spitter zombie in my house. I then try to jump out the window to my left but then smoke came pouring in and I saw a motherload of zeds. Apparently a horde has wandered in front of my home. There was a ton of zombies, though I couldn’t tell how many because of smoke from the smoker zombies blocking my sight.
Idiotic of me though I tried to run out the direction into the horde through the window thinking I was going to get away. Unfortunately a shocker and spitter zombie kept me in my place as I was trying to climb out the window. The living dead then proceeded to annihilate me.
Game Over.

Today, I got blown up by my own misdeeds, Died via heart attack, Died by falling off a ledge, Finding out the door had a landmine directly in front of it, Getting shot by a NPC,
Finding cocaine in the trunk and getting sniped by a Anti-material Turret, Finding a backpack and stepped on a landmine directly on the backpack, Finding a shotgun and realize that it had no slugs for a hulk attack, and falling in hot lava, and getting shot exactly 600 times by five Milspec turrets… And then being set on fire via Tank Drone.
Yeah, if you need me I’ll be playing World of Warcraft for the next few days weeks? months?! Years?!? CENTURIES?!?!

I made debug menued a god-like character on an experimental world and after causally exploring crafting options and checking how far out the reality bubble goes, I turned a corner on the outskirts of a town and then ‘Those red dots don’t look very friendly’ and I was looking at a gravestone. Apparently 26 strength and a heavy survivor suit doesn’t amount to much against whatever a chicken-walker shoots at you.

I’ve died to chicken walkers and I have heavy survivor gear and 80 strength.
