Just got killed trying to grab a first-aid kit because I thought I’d be able to fight off a few zombies with a 9mm SMG.
Turns out turrets are the only thing that can kill anything with a 9mm SMG.
Oh and call me psychic but uh…
My next 300 to 1200 deaths are going to be “Killed by exceedingly bad luck before 9 AM”

Don’t be sorry, it’s part of the cataclysm fun. Sure I was angry at first, even more so after I found out that the shelter burned to ash. But now I have a character that is back on the right path. (After 2 or 3 that died in the first hour of game time.)

So, I fought a Hulk toe to toe as a super mutant myself with enlarged muscles and all that good stuff. It wasn’t the Hulk that killed me, that fight lasted for about 4 or 5 hits, sending each other through walls, it was pretty epic…instead it was the Z-9 that nip’d my toes afterwards.
He literally just bit my feet and it killed me ☹ stupid dogs

Last time, After I barely managed to stay alive till the second Summer, I somehow caught influenza, and all my stats went down. But even after that I went deep in the city to loot a pharmacy (I thought influenza could be cured by some meds), and a moment zombies were after me and I was running, I kept running like hell and stepped on a mine (which was just outside the city) and died.
And the most frustrating thing was that I had already scouted the area earlier and marked it with a red star on my map with a note “minefield”. I think thats what they call it Just Another Stupid Death. Now, I always wear a filter mask and I think I’ve gone through numerous summers (btw is there a way to check how many days I survived in the game, cause the ‘day-counter’ just resets to zero after a new season comes).

Got shot by a turret because my high night vision didn’t allow me to spot the lights shining down the hallway. I seriously am beginning to dislike night vision mutations despite their obvious advantages.

I murdered a girl that was wielding a sledgehammer. Then proceeded to go around the chicken walker (It was on a road right outside of the shelter, to a hotel. Therefore, this was the RNG’s second attempt at killing me.
I selected the “Do you want to see the final moments of your life?” thing, and left it running for a few hours. This is the result.
The chicken walker somehow killed itself. too.

Spawned in a shelter right next to a mall.
Armed with nothing but a poorly beaten pipe shaped as a crowbar and a backpack, i left the shelter. Then i suppose my character would have been screaming for the next 27 hours as they got into 100 pain, infected twice, lots of deep cuts, had to drag their self across a small road while leaving a massive trail of their own blood behind them and then getting into a car as an emergency escape plan to drive into a roadblock with turrets (I hate turrets so much…) which proceeded to shred my character and their vehicle apart, finally driving away at full speed and running out of gas at the very end of the road to then have to limp through a forest where i realized i only had drink and no food, got infected again and got eaten alive.

Turret. Then the next character died of a turret. Then the next character died from a shocker zombie. The final character died of a shocker zombie. I hate turrets and shocker zombies! Turrets are stupidly annoying and un-killable in the early game and shocker zombies. I’ve only killed 3 in all the time I’ve played and that was by flattening them at 100MPH, then reversing to make sure they dead. What does everyone else do about them that i’m missing?!
