I had a veritable armory of guns, so I tried to take down a nearby fungal spire with a shotgun. Turns out, I got swarmed by so many fungaloids that I literally couldn’t move and I was promptly crushed under the sheer weight.

I was doing well, went to a town to disassemble a pile of stuff for boards, nails and other junk. Walked back into the kitchen of a house to a sudden bear who promptly bitch slapped my rather long-lived, for my standards, karate expert “Dapper McJester” many tears were had.

Slept in a random cabin in the woods.

Woke up to a Jabberwock outside my window.

It gets inside the house via door foolishly left open.

Crap pants in terror.

Cue benny hill music

Manage to trap Jabberwock outside house.

Hide for several days until food runs out, starving and dehydrated.

Poke head outside cabin.

“Oh wow that Jabberwock actually went away.”

No more than 2 steps and a bear rounds the corner less than 4 tiles away from me.

It was all going so well.

I had a working car, which I’d just repaired not long ago after a nasty crash in town.

I had so many supplies, an ample amount of guns…

All ended because I foolishly thought I could kill a jabberwock without running it over.

(Spoilers placed for those who were yet to be entertained by the circus)

So after about 4 weeks in-game, I get cornered by a clown who attempts to indoctrinate me into the circus.

A fucking Yugg attacks! By the time I was done dealing with it, I was dipping heavily into the CATTLE and SLIME mutation line, which caused all sorts of !!fun!!.

After the clown was done entertaining me, I soon found out that he came from the traveling carnival nearby. After 4 weeks of relative peace, I decided that living a life without the circus wasn’t a life I wanted to live, so I proceed to join the other entertainers that were performing.

There is a portal nearby spawning more Yuggs and other creatures. Now having the “Very Ponderous” mutation, I can no longer outrun them and soon, they catch up to me and kill me. C’est la vie~

I already mentioned somewhere else: put something (heavy stick) on fire between you and the Jabberwock, it will die and you will be able to butcher it.

A single standard triffid killed my combat monster character.

Is it just me, or have they been made stronger? I mean, I was turning zombies inside out in one or two whacks without breaking a sweat, and one triffid stood there and took about a hundred blows before it gradually wore me down and killed me.
