# How can I cut raw pelt?

item browser says “Can be cut into: 5 fur pelts” in stable version , but I can’t  
why ?

That would be the tanned pelt, actually. Raw pelt you’ll need to cure, then tan.

I wish that at the very least one could make some limited use of cured hides, but oh well.
