# Game lags when crafting

So whenever I open the crafting menu and switch tabs the game starts lagging very badly. I’m currently in an evac shelter with a ton of items,food,water and the like. Does anyone know how to fix this if there is a way? Thank you! 🙂

The crafting system searches all the tiles in reach to determine what ingredients you have available, so if you are surrounded by a ton of stuff it’s going to slow you down. I don’t know of any way to speed it up aside from clean up your surroundings of any junk, maybe consolidate separate piles of the same stuff into the same pile.

If you have a good save file with all the conditions to reproduce this easily, I could have a look.
