# Friction fires

i think that it would be awesome if you could make a friction fire with 2 heavy sticks (not 100% successful) if your survival skill is level 1

I know you can make a bow drill, which is actually not too difficult to use (done it before as a proof of concept), but honestly, I don’t feel like fire is a particularly hard thing to produce in Cataclysm. if you can get 2 survival by searching bushes for ~3 hours, it’s not much further than spending about 30min getting it to level 1.

Yeah, we already have several methods of producing fire with the survival skill and sticks.
