# Filter masks, now no longer helpfull against smoke

Crafted a nice new shiny filter mask, put it on and waltzed up to a smoker zombie. Imediately as i walked into the smoke i got the message “You inhale a lungfull of smoke” and then i coughed until i died.

I had that happen to me as well, but only once. I’m not sure why the mask didn’t work in that particular incident but since then I haven’t had it happen. I still stroll right up to smokers and kill them.

It happens, but it’s very rare. I think it’s like, smaller than 5% each turn with a filter mask.

I totally think this is intended also i think it will only happen under thick smoke
