# Failure to generate prison

lately i’ve been getting a weird error with the prison island scenario where it always fails to generate, which is weird since it worked many times before, and wipes my map after each charecter dies

Tried on build 0.E-11550, can not confirm.
5/5 times the prison generated fine.
Without a version number, mod list and your world settings I can just assume that some of the settings or mods you’re using interfere with generating enough water and/or islands for the prison to spawn.
Having large cities or small distances between them are prone to prevent some locations from spawning.

Once in game, go to `Options` → `Current world` and set the `World end handling` to `Keep` or `Query` (the default value is `Reset`, which means it will wipe the world on character death).
