# Double Magazine increases recoil

"Completely doubles the ammunition capacity of your firearm, but the added bulk reduces accuracy and increases recoil."
I assume this is a balance thing, but it isn’t really grounded in reality.
I can’t speak to the accuracy reduction, but the extra weight on the weapon would reduce recoil, not increase it.

That’s a holdover from the Whales days - apparently he didn’t do his research, so guns can be wonky about stuff like that. If I get the chance, I’ll file a PR to straighten that out this evening.
