I’d like to suggest a new option; configurable learning speed. Just a base modifier on the final value added to a skill when it is increased, so for example 50% of normal.

Is there any interest for this?

I wish I knew enough c++ to do this myself but I’ve never worked with the language before. The relevant code seems to be in the player::practice function on line 12991 of player.cpp.

Also, how can I donate? The “Support Us” button on the main page seems to be a dead link.

Thanks

Best way to donate and get configurable learning speed would be to make an issue for it on github and place a bounty: [https://github.com/CleverRaven/Cataclysm-DDA/issues](https://github.com/CleverRaven/Cataclysm-DDA/issues)

It’s best to back up an issue/feature on [github](https://github.com/CleverRaven/Cataclysm-DDA/issues)
Or create a new one (keep it reasonable) and back that up.

That way someone is bound to do it, and he will get the bounty for his work.

EDIT - Ninja’d

Thanks to you both, I’ve posted and issue now with a $15 bounty if anyone fancies taking it on;

Not sure if $15 is enough, but feels like a 30-60 min job for someone who knows what they are doing.
