# Color of items list around player

I’ve noticed that many items in the [V]iew list of items around are colored red. What does this mean?
I thought it might mean the item won’t fit into a pocket. But many of those colored red will clearly fit it a pocket, so it can’t be that.
What does it mean?

It likely means they’re spoiling and might go bad soon. Not just foods, stuff like pelts goes bad too.

Well it’s not that cuz the red items include such things as batteries and games.
