# Changing avatar URL breaks avatars completely (Solved)

I went to ‘Forum Profile’ to update the URL to my avatar, and not only did it refuse to save the URL, but it broke the old URL. Could someone with administrative powers please reset my avatar URL, or simply set it to this URL:

My guess is simply that the gravatar site doesn’t support direct image linking from other sites. Try uploading your image to a site like [imgur](http://imgur.com/) and then linking to it there and it will most likely work just fine.

Nope, works fine. I’d imagine you just put the address in wrong.

Edit:  
Fixed it for you. The avatar address field doesn’t support https. Http only.

Ah, HTTPS, that explains it. I’ll remember to watch for it next time. Regardless, thanks for the help and for fixing it for me!
