Welp, saw that coming. I support the moderators’ delayed action on this matter as patience of those with power is often sorely lacking on the internet, but some people just cross the line too many times.

let him post a link to his variant of the game. If people want to play it go ahead. It looks like its pretty well done. It will keep him from spamming the rest of the forum. I don’t see a problem with him posting a link to his game. yes I saw all his stupid posts on kickstarter, but if you take in isolation, that he has a link to his variant, I think that is ok.

I think by constantly banning him your just making the situation worse. He clear has some anger issues to deal with. That being said he did work hard on his variant, so you might as well leave a link up so people can get to it. you might want to edit the first post and put the link there so people can find it.  
Then sticky this thread to the top and call it ‘Metal Gear Solid Variant’. This way we can direct people who want to play his variant to his forums.

I dont see this as ‘feeding the troll’, I think by ignoring his variant, it feeds him because it makes him angry.

sometimes its best to be the reasonable adult in a situation like this to defuse it. I think stickying 1 thread and calling it a variant with a link to the variant is a reasonable accomodation. It also shows that we are the grown ups in this situation.

I made a more complete answer on the “lazycat” thread, but just to summarize here too, we tried that, it didn’t work. As far as I can tell, nothing we have ever done has influenced his behavior in any way. Sure the content of the rants changes to whatever the latest imagined slight is, but he was just as abrasive when we were being _friendly_ as when we were banning him.

Yeah, he had a static place to link to his thing. It didn’t stop him from spamming it in thread after thread. This may not be the BEST solution, but honestly it’s the thing that has worked most effectively so far.

If people really want to talk to LazyCat, do it there. If you want to talk about MGS mod, do it there. This thread is getting locked.
