# Cataclysm DDA channel on freenode hijacked

Dear survivors, mutants and other entities frequenting these forums,
unfortunately the freenode staff just (~14:04:41 UTC+2) hijacked the IRC channel, #CataclysmDDA.
We already moved to Libera Chat a while ago: [Freenode is dead, long live libera. (#49041) · CleverRaven/Cataclysm-DDA@ba50465 · GitHub](https://github.com/CleverRaven/Cataclysm-DDA/commit/ba504651dd5a1169a2c297f44af82878c85781e0)
But the freenode channel is not under our control and moderation anymore. If you are still in the channel on freenode, please leave (/part) it. It may become as hazardous as the pink X’es on your map.
We await you in the new IRC channel!
I am one of the channel operators in the channel, for those who do not recognize my nick.

I’d just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as Freenode,
is in fact, f/lee-node, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, Leenode.
