# B8b399f Adding Global Keybindings

Using experimental b8b399f (most recent) I get this message when trying to add a global keybinding: “There are already local keybindings defined for this action, please remove them first.” I get this message even after removing the keybinding and saving and exiting the menu, whether I access it from inside a world or from the main menu.

I’m not sure if this is a bug or if I’m just not understanding something, can someone shed some light on my ignorance?

Yeah, this is a bug. Clearing an action just removes all the keybindings, but not the action itself from that context. I’m not sure why.

This still exists. It’s almost 2023 and I can’t examine items on a tile beside me?  
“Unbound locally!”

Apparently using `=` to assign it a global binding, and even if it fails, it can THEN be assigned a local binding.
