# Are monsters affected by temperature?

Are monsters affected by temperature extremes such as freezing or scorching? I know that you can burn some monsters by having them walk into fire tiles, but can you boil a creature out?  
I’m trying to figure out how to deal with turrets and giant mole rats in labs without the use of guns and i’m wondering if I could cook them out by taking advantage of the super-heated temperatures in the enclosed spaces.

No, to my knowledge, monsters are not affected by temperatures or proximity to heat. Only direct contact with the fire tiles.
